Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation: active care procedures designed to improve the functional ability and quality of life for physical impairments or disabilities affecting the spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.

Active Release Technique

A technique utilized to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. These treatment protocols – over 500 specific moves – are unique to ART®. They allow providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient. ART® is not a cookie-cutter approach.

Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA)

SFMA is a set of seven full-body movement tests evaluated and scored in patients experiencing pain. The assessment logically breaks down dysfunctional patterns pinpointing the root cause as a mobility problem or a stability/motor control problem. Depending on the results, manual therapies or corrective exercises will be used as treatment.

Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Medical Certification

TPI Golf Medical Certification gives medical professionals golf-specific injury assessment and rehabilitation techniques to get players back in the game. TPI has spent almost two decades studying one thing – the Body-Swing Connection. There are injuries associated with the golf swing that few understand better than TPI. Medical Certification looks at how these injuries develop, how to access and treat injuries and how specific physical limitations can be addressed to improve performance.

Active Low-Tech Rehabilitation

We will teach you simple techniques that can easily be replicated at home or in the office to improve your condition and prevent re-injury.

Posture Retraining

Our doctors will evaluate, educate and rehabilitate spinal biomechanical dysfunction to improve balance and -overall distribution of the spinal elements as they stack up from head to toe.

Activities of Daily Living Modification

Review and ensure that activities of daily living are done optimally for function and performance.

Ergonomic Assessment / Rehabilitation
