Dr. Christopher Bath

CHIROPRACTOR

Dr. Christopher Bath is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College and serves as Clinical Director at Proactive Chiropractic, PLLC.  He has worked extensively outside of the core chiropractic curriculum to obtain certifications in Active Release Technique (ART), as well as Selective Functional Movement Assessment protocols, Functional Movement Systems, ConnecTX and Kinesiotaping.  Dr. Bath is also certified by the Titleist Performance Institute as an expert in golf fitness programming and elite player development.

Active Release Technique is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement-based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.  ART is an ideal treatment for many overuse conditions, like those that result from repetitive golf swings.

The Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) is a movement-based diagnostic system and Functional Movement Systems (FMS) is a screening tool used to identify limitations or asymmetries.

ConnecTX is the only instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) system utilizing evidence-based, research-reflective data to achieve continuous clinical improvement via NIH’s PROMIS®.

The Kinesio Taping® Method is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion.

TPI Medical Certification gives Dr. Bath golf-specific injury assessment and rehabilitation techniques to get players back in the game.

Dr. Bath has the ability to mesh all of these specialized techniques and certifications to uniquely provide our patients with customized and comprehensive treatment plans.  His methods not only provide a complete picture of biomechanical dysfunctions to treat injuries but also allow patients to proactively prevent injury, improve strength and mobility to improve quality of life.
