At Proactive Chiropractic, quality patient care is our primary goal. We will work as members of your healthcare team to ensure that you are receiving the individualized care that you deserve.

Our office utilizes outcome assessments and treatment protocols that combine traditional standards with cutting edge research.

The doctors and staff of Proactive Chiropractic will apply their knowledge and skills to foster an environment that empowers each patient to be an active participant in their own health care. This approach discourages treatment dependency, and encourages patients to directly affect their own quality of life.

Dr. Craig Nelson is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and co-founder of Proactive Chiropractic, PLLC. He serves as Sports Medicine Fellowship Adjunct Faculty at Albany Medical College where he is presently a co-investigator in an ongoing research study for the prevention of repeat concussions in sports.

Dr. Nelson is certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist with extensive continuing education in the area of rehabilitation of the spine. He is a design project advisor for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Biomedical Engineering Department. Dr. Nelson works cooperatively with many of the most prominent surgeons and spinal specialists in the area.

Dr. Anne-Marie Nelson is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and co-founder of Proactive Chiropractic, PLLC. She completed a post-doctoral program in rehabilitation and is certified by the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. Dr. Nelson holds additional certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength & Conditioning Association.

Both doctors were the recipients of the Southern Saratoga County Chamber's Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Dr. Christopher Bath is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College. He has worked extensively outside of the core chiropractic curriculum to obtain certifications in Active Release Technique (ART) of the upper extremity, lower extremity, spine and nerve entrapments. Dr. Bath is also certified by the Titleist Performance Institute as an expert in golf fitness programming and elite player development. His passion for chiropractic extends beyond the capital district with plans of becoming involved in short-term international mission trips.

In his spare time, Dr. Bath enjoys playing tennis with his wife and competing in multiple local basketball leagues.

Dr. Patrick Miles is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College. He has furthered his education with training in Graston Technique and Kinesio-Taping. Dr. Miles has spent the past few years in Western Massachusetts working as an associate doctor treating a wide variety of patients. He grew up in upstate New York and is very happy to be returning to the area he loves. Dr. Miles spends most of his free time with wife and family. He loves being outdoors and enjoys snowboarding.

Dr. Michael Missenis is a graduate of NYCC. He has earned certifications in RockTape, Nimmo and Sport Science/Human Performance. Additionally, he is looking forward to becoming certified in ART this summer. Dr. Missenis has recently moved back to his hometown of Clifton Park to become the newest addition to the Proactive team. Outside of the office, Dr. Missenis enjoys weight training, researching new performance/training techniques and playing in local basketball and football leagues.

Dr. Cheyne Ashline is a graduate of NYCC. He has continued his education through certifications in Active Release Technique, ConnecTX treatment of connective tissue disorders and Rock Tape (fascial movement taping). He will continue to expand his knowledge in biomechanics through a certification in Selective Functional Movement Assessment this summer. During his free time, Dr. Ashline enjoys competing in volleyball at a national level and taking his dog for hikes in the woods.
